Manon | Micro-flute rigid cardboard envelope machine

As we grow and evolve with the market of e-Commerce packaging, we introduce new machines and innovations to Macari-Fidia’s line of products. Macari-Fidia’s Manon is a special machine making micro-flute and thick cardboard envelopes.

The cardboard envelope made with the Manon is a hybrid solution. Thanks to its unique rigid construction, it can be shipped either flat or box-shaped and offers the utmost flexibility with just a small number of packaging sizes.

Irrespective of shape and height, the goods are always tightly enclosed and well protected. Given that individual items cannot move within the envelope, multiple items can be shipped together.

The envelope secures the products in place without additional protective material, and occupies minimal cargo space.

Micro-Flute envelopes afford greater protection than standard boxes containing loosely packed items.

Manon headline about cardboard envelopes

The micro-flute corrugated cardboard envelopes produced by the Manon have adjustable depth so that you can use them to package a wide range of your products, and are available in (pocket or wallet formats?). These envelopes are a smart, lightweight, high presentation packaging product.

As with all other Macari-Fidia machines, we can retrofit the Manon with our various tape applicators, such as the Speedy, Mistral, and Speedy TT.

Furthermore, this allows us to apply double sided tape, tear tape or silicone tape to all types of envelopes produced with the Manon.

Macari-Fidia produces automatic packaging machineries for ecommerce, shopping and boutique packaging.

It has been doing so for over 30 years, and as a result the experience gained in the graphic world allows us to design absolutely perfect packaging machines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who makes the Manon rigid cardboard envelope machine?

Manon, the rigid cardboard envelope machine, is a product of Macari-Fidia (Macari S.r.l.), based in Ciriè near Turin, Italy. The company was founded in 1990 and supplies customers in over 30 countries.

Why does a rigid cardboard envelope need no extra packing material?

The rigid structure holds the goods tightly enclosed and in place, whatever the shape and height of the envelope. Because individual items cannot move inside it, no additional protective material is needed.

How much cargo space does a Manon envelope take?

Macari-Fidia describes the envelope as occupying minimal cargo space. It can ship flat, and with an adjustable depth it can also take a box shape, so a few sizes cover many products.

What sizes and board weights does the machine process?

Open blanks of 150 × 240 mm to 780 × 700 mm are possible, in board of 200 to 600 g/m².

How are rigid cardboard envelopes sealed?

A Speedy, Speedy TT or Mistral retrofitted to Manon puts double-sided tape, tear tape or silicone tape on the envelope. Mistral needs a hot melt gluing system as well.

Is this page about the same machine as the main Manon page?

Yes. This page and the main Manon page describe one machine with the same specifications. The main page carries the full set of videos.

What will a rigid cardboard envelope machine cost me?

Macari-Fidia does not publish prices for Manon, because the machine is made to your envelope requirements and quoted per project. Please send a drawing or sample, the blank size, the board weight, the depth range and your volume to [email protected] or through the contact form.

Does Macari-Fidia help with commissioning and servicing a Manon?

Yes, on request: its own technicians and fitters handle consulting, installation, start-up and staff training on site, and maintenance and servicing agreements are offered. See Aftersales & Spare Parts.
