Amazon-Style Expandable Cardboard Mailer Machine

Tape Applicators
The Mistral silicone tape applicator is a hi-tech product, perfect to apply silicone tape on top of pressure sensitive adhesive in the large production of envelopes. It can fit onto a Macari-Fidia DOKKI cross unit, as well as other manufacturers’ machines, and it requires a hot melt adhesive slot coater. The Macari-Fidia Macchine Grafiche Mistral is extremely easy to fix on a conventional folder gluer — simply place it in the machine shoulders.
To apply silicone tape on top of a surface is an easy operation when using our silicone tape applicator. However, generally speaking, it is more difficult than applying double sided tape. We recommend the application of silicone tape in the presence of large quantities, for two simple reasons: the first, economic, and the second, longer make-ready time for the machine preparation.
Fidiagraf participates every year in fairs in the world of print finishing. On those occasions, we show customers the operation of our automatic machines, including the Mistral silicone tape applicator. It is adaptable, efficient, fast and precise, just like our Speedy double sided and tear tape applicators.

Silicone Tape Applicator Mistral A/12
The silicone tape applicator Mistral is a product of Macari-Fidia (Macari S.r.l.), based in Ciriè near Turin, Italy. The company was founded in 1990 and supplies customers in over 30 countries.
No. It describes the same Mistral silicone tape applicator, with the same tape widths and the same maximum output. The two pages differ only in wording.
It places silicone tape on top of pressure-sensitive adhesive on envelopes made in large production runs. The silicone tape covers the adhesive until the user peels it off, so it is a cover strip and not the glue itself.
Mistral applies silicone tape from 12 to 40 mm wide, and its maximum working output is 200 pieces per minute.
Macari-Fidia gives two reasons: one is economic, and the other is the longer make-ready time the machine needs. For small and medium runs, double-sided tape is the simpler route.
It sits in the machine shoulders of a conventional folder gluer. Mistral also fits a Macari-Fidia Dokki cross unit and the machines of other manufacturers.
A hot melt gluing system with a slot coater must be on the line, because Mistral works only together with it. That system lays down the adhesive that the silicone tape then covers.
Mistral works on courier envelopes and special envelopes, as the pictures on its page show. Cardboard mailers and boxes are covered on the silicone tape for cardboard mailers page.
Macari-Fidia gives a quotation for every Mistral project and publishes no price, because the configuration depends on your machine and hot melt system. Send your envelope sample, the tape width, your folder gluer and the volume to [email protected] or through the contact form.
Macari-Fidia’s own technicians and fitters offer consulting, installation, start-up and staff training on site, if you request them. Maintenance and servicing agreements are on offer too; read the Aftersales & Spare Parts page.
